We are in West Michigan, which has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, along "Lake Michigan".  Our USDA Zone is 5b, and some class us as USDA Zone 6. West Michigan enjoys the full extent of all four seasons, the reemergence of spring, our warm summers along the shore, the kaleidoscope colors of fall, and also a true winter wonderland. We have beautiful seasons all year long.  Winter is the  "catalog, planning, and seed starting" time of year.  Of course, many of us over winter plants in our homes that wouldn't survive in the freezing temperatures. And a few of us over winter ourselves in a much warmer climate!
